Well……shall we continue our little trek through the Port Douglas, Queensland area? After our stop on the beach, we grabbed some lunch and then made our way to the Mossman Gorge. The weather on this day was once again spectacular, with temperatures around 29c -31c according to the gauge in our car. That would be about 87 -91 F for my American friends. We were looking forward to a nice refreshing swim at the gorge.
The Mossman Gorge is located in the southern part of the Daintree rainforest. The gorge is surrounded by pristine rainforest, cool streams, waterfalls and over 430 species of birds if bird watching is your thing. It was a beautiful spot and when they say the waters in the gorge are cool and refreshing… they are not kidding! More on that in another post.
So welcome to Mossman Gorge!
